The scheduled Saturday, 8/13/16 walk is having to be cancelled due to the weather conditions that are being forecasted. They are now saying a shower or thunderstorm in the morning and a flash flood watch until 7:00 pm. We got the cooler temperatures we were hoping for, but the downside is the possibility of more rain.
If the clouds disperse in Midland, you might consider the Midland Wellness Tour. There will be a free walk around Midland College tomorrow morning. Check-in and registration will begin at 7:30 am and the 5K walk begins at 8:30 am. The publicity did not give the exact location, but these events frequently begin at the Allison Fine Arts Bldg. (The timed run is $40, but the walk is FREE.)
