Ready for your new Club t-shirt? Anyone who ordered one may pick it up at the meeting too!
All interested WALKERS! We’re planning on Saturday, May 22nd, that our group will venture towards the southeast and walk through San Angelo. The San Angelo Volksswalkers sponsors two walks in San Angelo, and we will choose which one to explore.
To avoid the heat, let’s meet behind the JumBurrito at Midland Park Mall at 7:00 a.m., on Saturday May 22 for carpool/caravan. The drive takes around 2 hours. We will gather at the Red Lion Hotel 441 Rio Concho Drive around 9:00 or 9:15 a.m.
Please bring your $3 AVA walk fee, record booklets, water, and money for lunch. We are unsure at this point if we will actually enter Fort Concho, but there is an admission fee $5.00 to $7.00. We can discuss this when we all meet up!
Join us at Midland College this Saturday April 17th for our Celebrate Walking event.
The purpose is to promote walking as exercise, publicize the Walkabout Club/promote membership, and have a fun time.
The Midland Walkabouters will have a registration table set up near the entrance to the Allison Fine Arts building from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Community participants will be encouraged to make as many laps around the campus as they wish, then stop by our table once more to pick up a goodie bag.
One lap around campus is approximately 1.85 kilometers. If members wish to receive credit this walk (part of the Racquet Club walk), then please bring $3 and your record booklets.

In Midland, we will meet behind JumBurrito at the Midland Mall at 8:00 a.m., for carpool/caravan. If you prefer to meet the group in Stanton, we will arrive at the Stripes station approximately 8:45 a.m. To get there from I-20, take Exit 156. Continue to the Stripes station at the 137/I-20 service road. We will leave our cars there, and head off on foot.

If you prefer to meet the group in Fort Davis, we will gather at the parking lot of the Chamber of Commerce (across the street from the Courthouse) around 10:00 a.m. There are different paths to take which are either very easy, or challenging, but someone will be with you no matter which route you take.
